Saving a scientific calculator graphics file
To save any drawn graphics file, use the file menu, Save Graphics File, which
will open the save file menu for you to save your file.
When the Dovada scientific calculator saves a drawn graphics
file it uses the (.dvc) extension filename. The saved file is is in a special text reference
format, for this reason we use the (.dvc) extension type.
To save the image file as a windows (.bmp) or (.jpg) format use the Export graphics Image facility provided.

The saved (.dvc) file name becomes the default file name.
When it comes to saving a scientific calculator file, take the time to read the dialog box. First,
choose where you want to store your calculator file – this is the key to not
losing your calculator file in the first place.
To select where to save your scientific calculator file, click the little arrow at the right of the
Save In box to move through folders, drives and the desktop. You can also
double-click on folders in the folder and file list to open them. Practice
moving about the directories so you get to know your way around.
Once you've chosen where you're going to store your scientific calculator file, choose a name for
the file and type it into the File Name: box. If you want to select a different
file type from the usual one your program uses, select that from the dropdown list provided if available.
Then, click OK or Save and you're done.
Many files go missing because you fail to pay attention where you're saving
them, or because you saved them so long ago they've become forgotten.
When you save a scientific calculator file, noticing exactly where you save a file is very
crucial. It comes back to the number one computing rule for everyone:
read the screen!
When sitting in front of the calculator file save dialog box you have all the
information you need, so take the time to note where you are saving the file and
if nescessary make a note somewhere in your diary or a similar place because a file occasionally goes astray.
It's easy to forget what name you've given a document, or which folder you placed it in.
